Richard Muchena

Richard Muchena is a seasoned project manager specializing in forecast-based financing and climate adaptation initiatives. Currently serving as the Project Manager for the German Red Cross since January 2022, Richard Muchena leads the implementation of the FbF project, ensuring comprehensive management within the established standards for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation. Prior experience includes roles as the Project Coordinator for the Forecast Based Action Project and GIS Specialist at the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society, where responsibilities encompassed project management, stakeholder engagement, and GIS data analysis. Before these roles, Richard Muchena worked as a Research Officer at the Forestry Commission. Richard Muchena holds an MSc in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Zimbabwe and a BSc in Environmental Science with a focus on Forestry.
