Justin Menga

Justin Menga has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Justin currently works as the Product CTO at DevFactory, where they are responsible for establishing the technology direction for various digital products. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Architect at Yellow New Zealand, where they played a key role in transforming the company from a legacy directory business into a digital marketing solutions business.

Justin has also worked as a Cloud Architect (External Consultant) at Casebook PBC, where they established a core continuous delivery workflow using Docker and implemented foundational patterns for deploying Docker-based applications to AWS. Justin also worked as a Digital Practice Consultant (External Consultant) at Air New Zealand.

In their previous roles, Justin has served as a Cloud Architect (External Consultant) at Yellow New Zealand, where they provided solutions governance, architecture, and design for various technology initiatives. Justin has also worked as a Service Provider Technical Lead, leading a team responsible for delivering technical infrastructure and services for a start-up.

Justin has had experience with large companies as well. Justin worked as a Wi-Fi Technical Lead (External Consultant) and Senior Technology Architect (External Consultant) at Spark New Zealand, where they built and designed Wi-Fi architectures and Telecom Labs. Justin also worked as a Marketing Engineer (External Consultant), where they played a lead technical role in promoting Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions.

Earlier in their career, Justin worked at Presidio as a Consulting Principal, at IBM as a Network Architect, at Compaq Computer as a Network Architect, and at Computerland New Zealand as a Senior Systems Engineer.

Throughout their career, Justin has demonstrated their expertise in technology strategy, architecture/design, prototyping, and software engineering. Justin has experience in managing large-scale AWS accounts, delivering technical prototypes, establishing technology and product visions, and modernizing legacy enterprise architecture.

Justin Menga holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (First Professional) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Auckland. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2023, CISSP from ISC2 in 2004, Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) in 2004, CCIE Security from Cisco in 2002, CCIE Routing and Switching from Cisco in 2000, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in 1998.
