Sherri Day

Sherri Day has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Sherri is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Device42 since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Engineer at Rackspace Technology from June 2019 to August 2021.

Before joining Rackspace Technology, Sherri was employed at Ruby Tuesday as a Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst from August 2018 to June 2019, and as a Database Administrator from August 2014 to August 2018.

Sherri's career began at JDA Software as a Database Administrator from 2002 to 2008. Sherri also worked as a Consultant at ThinkSpark from 2000 to 2001, and as an Oracle DBA at Amoco/BP/Price Waterhouse from June 1998 to 2000.

Sherri has experience in Operations Analysis at Worldcom Limited from 1996 to 1998. Sherri also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Tulsa Community College, teaching courses on Databases, MS Office, and Paradox from 1990 to 1998.

Sherri's early career includes a role as a Report Specialist at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas from 1986 to 1990.

Sherri Day has a diverse education history with a focus on data management, data analytics, and information technology management. Sherri attended Western Governors University Tennessee and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Data Management/Data Analytics. Sherri also pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management, which they earned from Western Governors University in 2021.

Before their time at Western Governors University, Sherri attended Tulsa Community College from 1987 to 2014. Here, they studied Electrical Engineering Technology. In addition, they attended The University of Tulsa from 1983 to 1985, majoring in Music Education.

In terms of certifications, Sherri holds numerous qualifications in various technology fields. Sherri has obtained certifications such as Oracle Certified Associate 12c, CIW Data Analyst, CIW Site Development Associate, Oracle Certified Professional in multiple versions, AWS Certified Database - Specialty, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Project+, A+, Network+, and Security+. These certifications demonstrate their expertise and proficiency in areas such as database administration, cloud computing, and network security.
