Eric Chapman

Eric Chapman has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry. Eric began their career in 2000 as a Shift Supervisor and IT Support for Telemed Inc. In 2004, they became a Secondary Math Teacher and Coach for the Carroll County Public School District. In 2006, they began working for CGI Federal as a Director of Consulting Services, Technical Competency Manager, Service Release Manager, Service Release Technical Manager, C++ Team Lead and C++ Developer. Additionally, they were an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Highlands Community College from 2006-2016. In 2016, they moved to CGI as Director of Consulting Services. In 2018, they joined Liatrio as a Principal Consultant and DevOps Transformation. Most recently, in 2020, they became a DevOps Institute Ambassador.

Eric Chapman received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from The University of Virginia's College at Wise between 1998 and 2004. Eric also holds four certifications from The Linux Foundation and Microsoft, including cdCon 2021 Speaker from The Linux Foundation obtained in July 2021, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals obtained in November 2020, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert obtained in January 2021, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate obtained in December 2020.
