Amr Amer is a research assistant at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since September 2021, while also collaborating on a joint M.Sc. thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics focusing on non-verbal human behavior generation using multimodal machine learning. Amr is pursuing a Master in Visual Computing at Universität des Saarlandes, where enrollment began in April 2018. Previous experience includes working as a software engineer at EJADA from October 2016 to December 2017, developing service-based SOA architectures and participating in the GACA project, as well as serving as a software integration engineer and graduate research assistant at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport from February 2015 to September 2016, where research concentrated on the use of a sign language translator system in education. Amr holds a Master of Science in Visual Computing from Universität des Saarlandes and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, alongside an American diploma from Egyptian English Language School.
