Maximilian Tölle is a researcher at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since November 2022, focusing on machine learning for intelligent autonomous robotic systems in the "Systems AI for Robot Learning" department. Previously, Tölle served as a student research assistant in robot learning at the Intelligent Autonomous Systems Group at TU Darmstadt, where contributions included developing a pybind interface for the Barrett WAM robot and teaching the robot to play the drums. Tölle has also held positions as a student consultant at aixsolution e.V., a student research assistant at the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) specializing in computer vision and automated driving, and as a technical project lead at Daimler AG. Academic credentials include a PhD in Intelligent Autonomous Systems from Technische Universität Darmstadt, a Master of Science in Automation Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, complemented by a study period at the University of Michigan.
