Mike Smoyer

Mike Smoyer is an experienced professional with a strong background in event management and educational program design. As President of the Digital Government Institute since January 2007, Mike specializes in creating advanced educational programs focused on emerging trends and technologies for government technology professionals. Prior to this role, Mike served as General Manager at FCW from January 2003 to December 2006, overseeing the event division's development, sales, marketing, and operational processes for various conferences and summits. Mike's experience also includes serving as Vice President of Conventions at the Food Marketing Institute from 1995 to 2002 and as Director at National Trade Productions from 1989 to 1994. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Penn State University and a Master of General Administration in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
