Oluf Jessen has a diverse work experience spanning over several positions and companies. Oluf started their career as an Engineer at DHI Water Environment Health in 1998 and worked there until 2007. Oluf then joined ALECTIA as Chief Engineer from 2007 to 2010. After that, Jessen returned to DHI and held various roles, including Senior Hydrologist from 2011 to 2014, Project Manager and Team Leader from 2014 to 2018, Head of Projects for Water Resources from 2017 to 2019, and Head of Department for Water Resources from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of International Development at DHI, overseeing the global International Development business unit. In their roles, Jessen has been involved in numerous donor-funded projects related to water resources, urban and marine sectors, working with development banks, agencies, funding organizations, NGOs, and public authorities in developing countries. Oluf has expertise in numerical modeling, early warning systems, flood mapping, basin planning, water quality, and other fields within water resources. Overall, Jessen has a strong background in water resources planning and management, and a track record of successfully implementing large multidisciplinary projects.
Oluf Jessen earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environmental Science from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, completing their studies between 1990 and 1997.
