Thomas Poovattil

Thomas Poovattil is an experienced insurance professional currently serving as the Head of Life & Medical (Underwriting, Operations & Claims) at Dhofar Insurance Company S.A.O.G. since January 2022. With a career spanning over two decades, Thomas has held key positions such as Vice President - Life at Al-Futtaim, focusing on various life insurance products and operations, and Head of Operations at Insighters, where responsibilities included strategic alliances and insurance broking management. Previously, Thomas managed wealth operations at Noor Islamic Bank and held significant roles at ASNIC and Mashreqbank, where achievements included process re-engineering and obtaining ISO certification. Thomas holds an FIII degree from the Insurance Institute of India, an EMBA in Insurance Management from the National Insurance Academy, and is a Chartered Risk Analyst.
