Prakash R. has over 15 years of work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Prakash is currently serving as the Vice President of Smart Cities at Dhyan Networks and Technologies, where they oversee the sales, marketing, GTM strategy, business development, and partnerships for the Smart Cities Product Division.

Prior to their current role, Prakash has held several positions at different companies. Prakash worked as an Investor & Advisor at Khal, a startup company, starting from December 2021. Prakash was also a founding investor and Board of Directors member at Seagrass Technologies, a startup that produces dry algal biomass from marine algae. At Seagrass Technologies, they developed a carbon-negative technology platform using non-potable water and seawater to grow marine microalgae.

Before their startup experiences, Prakash held senior managerial positions at Echelon, Renesas Electronics, Silver Spring Networks, and S&C Electric Company. At Renesas Electronics, they were responsible for product marketing and strategy for IoT connectivity solutions. At Silver Spring Networks, they managed a core network platform across multiple business segments and launched the first streetlight NIC product for outdoor smart lighting. At S&C Electric Company, Prakash managed and launched the IntelliCom Product Line for Grid Connectivity, focusing on smart grid networks.

Prakash has also worked at Alvarion Technologies and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, where they held roles such as Sr. Product Expert / Manager and WLAN Network Engineer, respectively. These roles involved technical expertise in wireless communication products and providing support to customers and field engineers.

Earlier in their career, Prakash worked as a Network Engineer at Etheric Networks, where they provided network support for optimized wireless broadband networks.

Prakash R. holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Prior to earning their MSEE, Prakash obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering (BSEE) from Mepco Schlenk Engineering College. In addition to their formal education, Prakash has obtained several certifications, including being an Alvarion WiMax Certified System Specialist and an Alcatel Certified Switch Specialist- Infrastructure. Prakash has also earned certifications as an Alcatel Certified Switch Specialist WLAN and an Alcatel Certified Switch Professional.
