Laurie Cummings

Laurie Cummings has extensive experience in the communications and medical fields. Since February 2004, Laurie has worked as a Communications Assistant at the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, where responsibilities include managing inventory for printed materials, overseeing public relations printing jobs, preparing media kits, and maintaining the organization’s online presence. Prior to this, Laurie served as a Medical Assistant at Compass Health, LLC from January 1998 to February 2000, performing essential clerical duties to ensure smooth medical office operations. Laurie also held the position of Receptionist at Thomson McKinnon Securities Inc from July 1980 to October 1981, supporting various tasks while interacting with staff. Educationally, Laurie holds an Associate's degree in Medical/Clinical Assistance from the National School of Technology and additional certifications in nursing from Beacon College.
