Shridharan Muthu

Shridharan Muthu has significant experience in software development and engineering. Shridharan is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Diagon, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to starting Diagon, they worked as a Plato Mentor at Plato in 2019 and a Mentor at First Round Fast Track starting in February 2021.

From 2020 until June 2022, Shridharan served as the Head of Engineering/Director of Engineering at Snackpass. In this role, they played a crucial role in the company's growth, expanding the engineering team to 35 members and implementing various improvements and solutions that contributed to a 10x increase in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV). Shridharan introduced new team operating processes, such as a feature flagging system and automating deploys, improving the overall development lifecycle and quality.

Between 2012 and 2020, Shridharan held several roles at Zoosk Inc., including VP of Engineering, Backend Applications and Director of Engineering, Backend Applications. Shridharan was responsible for leading and managing multiple engineering teams and successfully migrating Zoosk to Yopeso and Spark Networks. Shridharan also played a key role in modernizing the company's microservices infrastructure and supporting the transition to spring boot, swagger UI, and Docker.

Earlier in their career, Shridharan worked as a Financial Software Developer at Bloomberg from 2010 to 2012, where they led the integration of Trading Systems with Portfolio Analysis Systems and implemented BDS requirements. Shridharan also gained experience as an Intern at Bloomberg and a Software Developer Intern at Ericsson and Infosys Technologies Ltd.

Shridharan Muthu earned a B Tech degree in Information Technology from Anna University, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. Shridharan then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Networking & Security at The University of Texas at Arlington from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the certification of Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance® in February 2018.
