Himal Weerasooriya

Himal Weerasooriya has a extensive work experience in warehouse operations and logistics. Himal began their career in 1990 at HAYCARB PLC as an Executive Raw material purchasing & inventory control. Himal then moved on to Carbokarn Ltd in 1994 and MAS ACTIVE, Activeline Pvt Ltd in 2003, where they held positions as an Executive and Assistant Manager, respectively, in the same field. In 2008, they joined Dialog Axiata PLC as a Manager Group Warehouse Operations & Logistics, and steadily moved up the ranks to become the Head of Operations Warehouse & Logistics in 2019. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong focus on managing warehouse operations and inventory control.

Himal Weerasooriya's education history includes obtaining an MBA in International Trade and Logistics from both the University of Canberra and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed an Advanced Diploma in Logistics Management at the National Institute of Business Management in 2005-2006. Additionally, they earned a Foundation Diploma in Shipping from Chartered Ship Brokers - UK in 2003. Before their postgraduate studies, they acquired a Diploma in Supply & Materials Management from the Institute Of Supply & Materials Management between 1999 and 2001. Himal completed their earlier education within the Science Stream at Ananda College from 1983 to 1990.
