Thulan Amarasinghe

Thulan Amarasinghe's work experience includes positions at Dialog Axiata PLC, Lanka Communication Services (Pvt) Ltd., Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna - Sri Lanka, and participation in the Microsoft Student Champs program. At Dialog Axiata PLC, Thulan worked as a Lead in Enterprise and IT Cloud DevOps, where they handled day-to-day operational tasks of the Enterprise Cloud Infrastructures and ensured service availability for cloud customers. They also worked as a Specialist in Enterprise Cloud Operation, where they performed similar responsibilities. Prior to that, Thulan held the role of Senior Executive in Telco Security, where they were responsible for maintaining and enhancing the security of telecommunication networks and systems. At Lanka Communication Services, Thulan worked as an Associate Engineer in IP Networks, responsible for maintaining ISP and LAN/WAN IP networks. They also gained experience with Cisco and Mikrotik products and deployed devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. Thulan also worked as a Trainee Associate System Engineer at Lanka Communication Services, where they worked with Wi-Fi solutions and provided support for troubleshooting. In addition, Thulan served as a Temporary Demonstrator at the Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna - Sri Lanka. Thulan also participated as a Participant in the Microsoft Student Champs program.

Thulan Amarasinghe has a diverse education history. In 2019, Thulan completed a Master's degree in Information Security from the University of Colombo School of Computing. Prior to that, in 2016, Thulan obtained a CCNA Routing & Switching certification from the Cisco Networking Academy. Thulan also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communication Technology, which was obtained from the University of Jaffna between 2012 and 2016. Additionally, Thulan completed high school at Mahanama Central College, Monaragala in 2008 and earned a GCE O/L in 2005 from Madulla Central College, Monaragala. Thulan has obtained several additional certifications, including Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core and Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator. Thulan's dedication to learning is evident through their pursuit of various certifications in fields such as network security, data science, and information technology.
