Flight Sciences Engineer - Aerodynamics at Diamond Aircraft

Rafael Garcia Leal, MSc., is an experienced flight sciences engineer specializing in aerodynamics, currently employed at Diamond Aircraft since March 2024. Previously, Rafael held the position of aerodynamics engineer at CycloTech GmbH from April 2019 to February 2024 and worked as a technology and engineering researcher/CFD engineer at INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA EDSON MORORÓ MOURA from January 2018 to February 2019. Rafael's extensive background includes serving as a CFD engineer/aerodynamicist at Embraer from July 2006 to November 2016, where contributions were made to the preliminary design of the KC-390 cargo aircraft and the next generation E-Jets. Earlier roles included training as an aeronautic engineering trainee at Embraer and working as an aerodynamicist/surface designer at GT Racecars from 2010 to 2013, focusing on aerodynamic design for race cars.
