Christian Orr

Christian Orr is a skilled Beamline Scientist at Diamond Light Source since November 2018, with a prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Christian completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology at the University of Southampton from 2014 to 2018, following a Master's degree (MRes) in the same fields at the University of Portsmouth in 2014. Educational background includes a 1st Class Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biochemistry and Genome Science from the University of Portsmouth (2010-2013) and foundational studies at Dr Challoners Grammar School. Additionally, Christian held leadership as President of the Life Sciences Postgraduate Society from 2016 to 2018 and has gained diverse experience through various roles including an undergraduate focus on lab work and customer service positions in hospitality.
