Daren Fearon

Daren Fearon is a Senior Beamline Scientist at Diamond Light Source since February 2020, previously serving as a Beamline Scientist. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Scientist I in Structural Biology at Evotec from July 2014 to January 2020, focusing on protein crystallography. Daren was a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Southampton from October 2012 to July 2014, working on antibacterial target validation. Daren completed a PhD at the Institute of Cancer Research from October 2008 to September 2012, specializing in medicinal chemistry and structural biology. Early career experiences include an Industrial Trainee position at Pfizer and a Vacation Bursary role at the University of Glasgow, both contributing to expertise in crystallography and material sciences. Daren holds an MSci in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Glasgow, obtained in 2008.
