Emily Arnold is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Diamond Light Source since July 2023, following a tenure as a Research Fellow in Diffraction Imaging and PhD Researcher at Cranfield University from February 2017 to July 2023. Emily's PhD research focuses on the physicochemical characteristics of bone for forensic and medical applications. In addition to academic roles, Emily served as the Social Officer for Cranfield Students' Association from October 2018 to October 2019, facilitating events for students. Earlier experience includes tutoring in General Physics and Human Anatomy at Mercyhurst University while also participating in work studies involving forensic science collections and casework. Emily holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Forensic Engineering from Cranfield University and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Applied Forensic Science from Mercyhurst University.
