Jack Stubbs

Postgraduate Researcher at DIAMOND LIGHT SOURCE LIMITED

Jack Stubbs is a postgraduate researcher at both the University of Southampton and Diamond Light Source since September 2021. Previously, Jack served as a research assistant at the John Innes Centre, contributing to structural and biochemical studies on plant-pathogen interactions, particularly focusing on rice and the fungus Magnaporthe oryzae. Jack’s experience also includes an MSci project at the University of East Anglia, which investigated the structural biology of inositol polyphosphate phosphatases, as well as project work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, concentrating on biopharmaceutical P450s. Jack's early research involved molecular genetics of calcium signaling pathways in plants utilizing CRISPR/Cas9. Jack holds an MSci degree in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia, completed in 2021.
