Mark Booth

Mark Booth is an experienced software engineer with a career spanning several companies and roles since 1995. Currently working at Diamond Light Source since September 2010, Mark focuses on the maintenance and development of open-source data acquisition software to aid beamline scientists. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Software Developer at M-solv Ltd, where Mark handled the full lifecycle development of new process control systems, and as a Development Software Engineer at oerlikon Optics Uk Ltd., where Mark optimized legacy systems. Mark has also contributed to various projects at Exitech, Oxim Ltd., and Advanced System Architectures, acquiring diverse skills in software development, maintenance, and troubleshooting across different environments. Mark holds a 2:1 degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Kent, completed in 1993.
