Mayrelis Alvarez

Mayrelis Alvarez is an experienced Electrical Design Engineer at Diamond Light Source since January 2016, with prior experience as an Automation Engineer at CEPRONA from April 2013 to June 2015, focusing on the development, installation, and commissioning of automatic fire detection systems. Earlier, Mayrelis served as Chief of Brigade in the Department of Automatic at Thermoelectric Antonio Guiteras in Matanzas, Cuba, from September 2008 to May 2012, overseeing the operation and maintenance of ALSPA P320 control systems. Mayrelis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering from Polytechnic University (ISPJAE) in Havana, Cuba, and a Postgraduate diploma in Automation and Control from Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain.
