Paul Hathaway

Paul Hathaway is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer at Diamond Light Source since November 2009, specializing in software engineering and systems integration for scientific and electrical engineering applications. Previous roles include serving as a Software Engineer/Team Planner focused on client-server software for experiment control on crystallography beam lines and as a Software Engineer/Scientist leading database and UX tooling efforts for sample management and experiment design. Prior to Diamond Light Source, Paul worked at ANSTO from February 2000 to November 2009, where responsibilities included commissioning software for scientific instrumentation and leading the Analysis Team at the Bragg Institute. Earlier in the career, Paul was a Senior Engineer at FreightCorp and an Electrical Engineer involved in vehicle testing and commissioning. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, along with a course at MIT xPRO in 2020.
