Wui Cheng

Wui Cheng is a specialized mechanical engineer with extensive experience in design and engineering across various sectors. Currently serving as a Contract Mechanical Engineer in the Accelerator Engineering Group at Diamond Light Source since May 2020, Wui Cheng focuses on the front-end layout for Diamond II. Previous work includes designing collimators and near-infrared cameras for the European Extremely Large Telescope at the University of Oxford and creating designs for Braun-branded speaker stands at Pure International Limited. Wui Cheng has held multiple contract engineering roles at Diamond Light Source, Stannah Group, and AIXTRON SE, contributing to projects involving cryogenic systems, gas management for MOCVD processes, and detector layouts for advanced beamlines.
