Joel Villegas

Joel Villegas has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Starting as a Facilities Engineer Intern at 3-SServices in 2014, they gained valuable skills in managing the design of oil field facilities. Joel then worked as a Lease Operator at Whiting Petroleum Corporation from 2015 to 2016, where they were responsible for ensuring the normal operation of wells. Villegas joined Halliburton in 2016 as a Technical Professional - Production Enhancement Field Engineer, where they monitored chemical graphs during frack jobs and maintained chemical inventories. In 2017, they joined Energen as a Field Operations Specialist, acting as a supervisor in training and aiding lease operators in maximizing efficiency. Most recently, Villegas has been working at Diamondback Energy Inc as a Field Operations Specialist since 2018.

Joel Villegas obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas Permian Basin, where they attended from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a certification in OSSF 1 in July 2015.
