Ping Puyang, P.E. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. They started their career in 2008 as a Front-end Web Developer at LSU Health Care Service Division. In 2009, they joined LSU Information Technology Services, where they worked as User Support and Student IT Enablement until 2012. In 2014, Ping had an internship at Halliburton's Sperry Drilling Services, specifically in the Drilling Engineering Solutions (DES) department. From 2015 to 2019, Ping worked at Halliburton as a Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) for the Sperry & Landmark branch, where they performed manual and automated tests and conducted web API testing. In 2019, Ping moved to ConocoPhillips as an Upstream Data Engineer, specializing in Reservoir Engineering and Planning. They handled ARIES software support and managed corporate ARIES databases. Currently, Ping works at Diamondback Energy as a Senior Data Science Engineer in the Corporate BD, Reserves & Planning department.

Ping Puyang, P.E. holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Petroleum Engineering, which was obtained from Louisiana State University from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, Ping completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the same university from 2008 to 2012. In 2007, Ping Puyang attended Hainan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Marketing from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, Ping was an exchange student at Westbrook Walnut Grove Senior High School in Westbrook, MN, from 2005 to 2006.

Ping Puyang also holds various certifications in the field of cloud computing and engineering. These certifications include AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, and AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, all obtained from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Furthermore, Ping holds Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer.
