Michael Kaluza has a diverse work experience in various scientific and technological roles. Michael is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at DiaMonTech AG, where they lead the research and development efforts for an innovative diagnostics platform. Michael is responsible for aligning a talented team in fields such as optics, electronics, software, data science, and regulatory affairs, with the aim of creating a non-invasive glucose monitor. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Project Manager at DiaMonTech AG.
Before joining DiaMonTech AG, Michael worked as a Technology Consultant at VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH from 2012 to 2017. In this role, they were an expert in medical technology and digital transformation, collaborating with the Federal Ministry for Research and Education (BMBF) and the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
Michael also served as a Consultant at Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung in 2016 and worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist and Scientific Staff at the Kirchhoff Institute for Physics, Heidelberg University from 2007 to 2012.

Michael Kaluza received their education in physics from two different universities. Michael attended RWTH Aachen University from 2000 to 2006, earning a Diplom in Physics. Michael then pursued further education at Heidelberg University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics. In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael also obtained several certifications, including Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner from EXIN your ICT competence partner in February 2019, as well as Prince2 Foundation and Prince2 Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice in December 2018 and April 2019, respectively.
