Johan Fransson began their work experience in 1995 with a military service in the Swedish Armed Forces. Johan held various roles within the military, including team leader, platoon leader, deputy team leader, and intelligence/liaison officer. In 2006, they became the deputy platoon leader before transitioning to civilian work.
In 2007, Fransson joined Sony Mobile Communications, where they held several positions, including strategic buyer, global commodity manager, manager of global category consultants, and senior manager of strategic sourcing and procurement. Johan was also the deputy head of indirect and software procurement and director of the same department. During their time at Sony Mobile Communications, they were responsible for global purchases and implementing a managed service provider.
Fransson established Johan Fransson Consulting AB in 2020, where they worked as a consultant and owner.
In 2020, Fransson joined Diaverum as the vice president of supply chain and procurement. Later, they were promoted to vice president of global operational excellence.

Johan Fransson began their education in 1990 at Holavedsskolan, where they completed the Technical Science Program. Johan attended this school for four years, until 1994. Following this, Johan enrolled at the Swedish Artillery Officers Academy in 1996, where they pursued a degree as an Officer in the Reserves, completing the program in 1997. Subsequently, they attended Lund University from 1997 to 2006, acquiring a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in the field of Law.
