Michael J. Kerins, PhD DABT

Michael J. Kerins, PhD DABT has a diverse work experience in the field of toxicology and scientific research. Michael J. has served as a Senior Scientist/Toxicologist at DICE Therapeutics since 2023, where they are currently employed. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Toxicology Study Director at Labcorp Drug Development, overseeing safety assessment studies and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Dr. Kerins also worked as a Scientist/Toxicologist at Procter & Gamble from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they conducted toxicology risk assessments and safety evaluations for various consumer products and collaborated with global and regional functional groups to deliver new products to markets worldwide.

Before joining Procter & Gamble, Dr. Kerins pursued their PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology at The University of Arizona from 2014 to 2019, where they were a Graduate Student and NSF Fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Aikseng Ooi.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Kerins gained research experience as a Scientist at Kimberly-Clark from 2012 to 2014, as well as at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they served as an Undergraduate Researcher from 2010 to 2011. During their time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, they also worked as a supervisor at Elizabeth Waters Dining Hall.

Furthermore, Dr. Kerins has had internships at Kimberly-Clark as both an Engineering Co-op in 2010 and a Research and Development Co-op in 2009.

Michael J. Kerins, PhD DABT, obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Arizona, where they studied from 2014 to 2019. Michael J. completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, attending from 2007 to 2011. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they obtained a High School Diploma from Neenah High School in 2007. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) from the American Board of Toxicology, Inc. in November 2022.
