Alena Novotná

Alena Novotná is a seasoned linguist and translator with extensive experience in subtitle translation and quality assessment. Currently serving as a Freelance Translator and Subtitler at Plint and as a Czech Linguist at Dicentia Studios A/S since 2021, Alena also works as a self-employed linguist and has been a Translator of subtitles for Arduino.cz since 2015. Alena's previous roles include Director at Alliance Française de Bohême du Sud, where responsibilities included financial and administrative management, and Director's Assistant at Francouzská aliance Jižní Čechy, providing interpretation services. In addition to linguistic roles, Alena has taught fitness classes at the University of South Bohemia and Regenerační centrum Xenie. Alena holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of South Bohemia and a Bachelor's degree in English and French Language and Literature from the University of Hradec Králové.
