Todd Nichols

Todd Nichols brings over 25 years of experience to the DickersonBakker Grant Services team. His career spans across the globe including assisting philanthropists with project due diligence and evaluation, and nonprofits with grant development and project funding. Todd’s primary focus is on U.S. and international grant funding development, nonprofit due diligence, outcomes-based program design, and research. He has traveled extensively throughout the world with a focus on countries in Central America, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Todd brings many years of nonprofit and foundation experience to his clients as well as knowledge in cultural diversity. His principal focus at DickersonBakker is facilitating the needs of clients as it relates to foundation grant and funding issues, project and program evaluation, as well as international ventures.

Todd brings 25 years invested in nonprofit and for-profit management to the DickersonBakker team. He spent over five years in the non-profit sector working in the inner cities of Chicago, Illinois and Orlando, Florida. He has worked as a Program Officer at a private family foundation and has consulted with nonprofits in various areas related to organization and program management as well as strategic planning. Todd has also worked with University executives, deans, and faculty in establishing a foundation and research development program and has assisted in the implementation of multiple international leadership and organization expansion projects.

Todd has over ten years of qualitative and quantitative research experience working in national and international environments. He has engaged in research and nonprofit due diligence in the countries of Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Malta, Morocco, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

Todd earned a BS in Liberal Arts from Southeastern University and an MBA from Regent University. He is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Organizational Leadership. He lives in the mountains of western North Carolina with his wife and family. He enjoys being in the great outdoors with family and friends. He is also an accomplished musician playing the piano and trombone.
