Ivana Mikic has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and positions. In their current role as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Vivodyne since 2022, they lead the AI efforts of the company. Prior to that, they co-founded Diffine in 2018.
From 2020 to 2022, Ivana worked at Reveal Biosciences as the Director of AI, where they built and managed a remote team of AI and image analysis scientists and software engineers, while also serving as the Lead Data Scientist from 2020 to 2020.
Before Reveal Biosciences, Ivana was the Imaging R&D Senior Manager at BIOVIA from 2016 to 2020. Ivana co-founded Image Informatics in 2006, and served as the Managing Director until 2016.
In addition, Ivana has had roles at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid as a Professor Ramon y Cajal in 2007-2008, Beckman Coulter as a Consultant in 2003-2005, Q3DM & Vala Sciences as a Senior Scientist in 2002-2004, and Motorola as a Software Engineer in 1996-1997.
Ivana Mikic completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade between 1989 and 1994. Ivana then pursued a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University from 1994 to 1996. Following this, they attended UC San Diego where they obtained their Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 1997 to 2002.
