Michael Sanders

Michael Sanders has a diverse background in the field of security engineering and architecture. Michael most recently worked as a Senior Sales Engineer at Dig Security starting in May 2023. Before that, they held the position of Director of Field Engineering - West at Halcyon from May 2022 to February 2023. Michael also has experience as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer at ExtraHop from December 2019 to May 2022 and as a Principal Cloud Security Architect at Nubeva from November 2018 to September 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Security Engineer and Team Lead at Verodin from June 2017 to August 2018 and as a Principal and CTO at Avantgarde Partners from September 2016 to May 2017. Michael started their career as a Principal Security Engineer and Team Lead at Imperva from June 2013 to August 2016 and as a Solutions Engineer at Accuvant from January 2009 to June 2013.

Michael Sanders has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the CCSK certification from the Cloud Security Alliance in December 2019, the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in June 2008, the Amazon Web Services Security Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2019, and the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2019.
