Jared Daniels

Jared Daniels has extensive work experience in software engineering, primarily in the telecommunications industry. Jared is currently employed as a Principal Software Engineer at DigiCert, Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at FamilySearch as a Senior Software Engineer from 2011 to 2022. Before that, they had their own Sole Proprietorship, JD Tech Online, from 2010 to 2012.

Jared's career began at Motorola, Inc in 2000 as a Software Engineering Intern. Jared continued working at Motorola and took up the role of Senior Software Engineer from 2002 to 2011. During their time at Motorola, they were responsible for managing discussions between hardware and software teams, ensuring timely software builds, finalizing the Bluetooth PTT protocol spec, and acting as the Bluetooth team lead for all Motorola iDEN phones. Jared also played a key role in implementing and porting various aspects of the iDEN Bluetooth solution, such as the stack, transport layer, connection manager, and security manager. Additionally, they worked on optimizing Bluetooth throughput, supporting the development of implemented Bluetooth profiles and features, and writing low-level hardware drivers. Jared contributed to patent submissions and was involved in power management, issue resolution, and codeplug support.
