Matt Brown

Matt Brown has a diverse work experience in the animation and visual effects industry. Matt has worked as a Character Effects Artist at Digital Domain 3.0 since November 2015. Prior to that, they were a Character FX TD at Method Studios for a brief period in May and June 2015. In January to March 2015, they worked as a Hair/Fur CG Artist at Zoic Studios. Before that, they held the position of Senior Technical Director at Sony Pictures Imageworks from June to December 2014. From January to April 2014, they worked as a Senior Creature TD at Lucasfilm Animation Singapore.

Matt has extensive experience at Rhythm & Hues, where they held various technical animation roles from 2005 to 2013. These roles included Technical Animation Supervisor, Technical Animator, and Technical Animation Lead. Matt also worked briefly as an Effects Animator & Motion Tracker at Entity FX in 2005. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Character Animator at South Park from 1998 to 2005.

Matt Brown attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1988 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Applied Mathematics and German. After completing their undergraduate studies, Matt's education history becomes less clear.
