Brooke Hessler is an experienced educator and digital storytelling facilitator, currently serving as a Storyworker and Digital Storytelling Facilitator at StoryCenter since January 2016, along with a role as Scholar in Residence for Accessibility. Brooke also contributes as a Studio Instructor at Bullseye Glass Co. and as an Adjunct Professor at California College of the Arts. In addition, Brooke has been a Virtual Volunteer at 826 Valencia, mentoring youth in digital storytelling. Previous positions include Director of Learning Resources at California College of the Arts, Professor and Eleanor Lou Carrithers Endowed Chair of Writing and Composition at Oklahoma City University, and Senior Editor at Norris and Associates. Brooke holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition from Texas Christian University, a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning from California State University - East Bay, and Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in English from Texas Christian University and The University of Texas at Arlington, respectively.
