Lisa Nelson-Haynes is an accomplished leader in arts and program management with extensive experience across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Chief Programs Officer and Interim Chief of Programming at StoryCorps since October 2022, Lisa has previously held the positions of Managing Director, Program Strategy & Innovation within the same organization. As a Racial Literacy Workshop Facilitator at Lion's Story, and a freelance workshop facilitator for StoryCenter since 2003, Lisa contributes significantly to educational initiatives. From April 2016 to October 2022, Lisa was the Executive Director of Philadelphia Young Playwrights. Earlier experience includes serving as Associate Director at Painted Bride Art Center from February 2001 to March 2016 and as Account Supervisor at Beach Advertising from January 1991 to June 1997. Lisa holds degrees from Hampton University (1983-1987) and Temple University (1997-2000).
