Bob Jones

Bob Jones has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Bob currently works as a Solutions Architect at Digital Turbine since April 2021. Prior to this, Bob worked as an Application Practice Senior Consultant at Red Hat from October 2019 to April 2021.

Before Red Hat, Bob held various roles at MetLife. Bob served as a Lead Software Development Engineer from September 2017 to April 2021, a Principal Software Engineer from December 2018 to October 2019, and a Senior Software Development Engineer for Enterprise Integration from November 2014 to September 2017. In this role, Bob was responsible for designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions to address the challenges posed by managing disparate systems across the globe.

Prior to MetLife, Bob worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Rackspace Hosting from December 2011 to November 2014. Bob was involved in all phases of the company's agile software development lifecycle and worked with a wide range of technologies.

Bob's career started as a Software Engineer at VTLS, Inc. from June 2008 to June 2012, where they designed and implemented new features and bugs and conducted code reviews. Before that, they worked as a Technician at Innovative Computer Services from April 2006 to June 2008, where they fixed customer's computers and designed and installed networks for businesses. Bob also had a stint as a Technical Intern at Smyth County School Board from January 2006 to August 2006, where they assisted in implementing a Cisco VoIP solution and wired and configured computer labs.

Overall, Bob has gathered extensive experience in software development, architecture, and integration, working in various industries and utilizing diverse technologies throughout their career.

Bob Jones has a solid education background in the field of computer science and information systems and technology. Bob earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, where they attended from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their B.S. in Computer Science at Radford University from 2006 to 2008. Bob began their academic journey at Wytheville Community College from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained two Associate degrees: one in Information Systems and Technology, and the other in Networking Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Bob has also obtained various certifications. In February 2016, they earned the MCD - Integration and API Associate (Mule 3.7) certification from MuleSoft. More recently, in July 2021, they became a cdCon 2021 Speaker through The Linux Foundation.
