Yass Baharvandy

Yass Baharvandy, CPA, CA has worked in the accounting and finance industry since 2010. Yass began their career as a Manager in PwC's Audit and Assurance Group and Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services. In 2016, they moved to Square as a Technical Accounting Manager. In 2017, they joined Stripe as the M&A Accounting Lead, Losses Accounting Lead, and Finance Lead at Index (acquired by Stripe). Most recently, Yass joined Shopify as Senior Accounting Manager - Payments, Partners and Installments and Digits as a Product Manager.

Yass Baharvandy obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the Schulich School of Business at York University between 2006 and 2010. In 2014, they obtained the CPA, CA certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada).
