Ed Burgard

Ed Burgard is the current President & CEO at Dignify Therapeutics. Ed has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, starting their career as a Research Investigator at Abbott Laboratories. In 2002, they became the Director of In vitro Pharmacology at Dynogen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they were responsible for establishing scientific strategies for internal R&D and growth. In 2005, they co-founded Urogenix, Inc., and served as the Director of Cellular Pharmacology. Ed remained with the company until 2012, when they took on their current role at Dignify Therapeutics.

Ed Burgard completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, where they earned a BS in Zoology. Ed then went on to pursue a PhD in Pharmacology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. After finishing their PhD, they worked as a postdoctoral fellow in both neurology and neurobiology, first at the University of Michigan and then at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
