Pavan Kumar Kamaraju, PhD

Pavan Kumar Kamaraju has a diverse work experience spanning over the past decade. Pavan Kumar most recently worked as the Head of AI/CV at Digs starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they were a Principal Research Scientist at Streem, Inc. where they focused on R&D for understanding user environments using AI and CV techniques from April 2019 to December 2022. Before joining Streem, Inc., Pavan served as the Head of Technology at Selerio, overseeing R&D efforts for video analysis using AI/CV and spatial mapping for AR. During their time there, they also built and released an SDK for iOS. Selerio was later acquired by Streem, Inc. Pavan has also worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Entrepreneur First, a Lead Software Engineer at Selitera, and a Research Engineer at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Pavan Kumar started their professional career as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and interned at IBM Research. Pavan Kumar obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Prior to their doctoral studies, they completed their Master of Science (M.S) in Computer Science at the same university from 2009 to 2011.
