Dayna LeClair has a diverse range of work experience in the field of environmental science and biology. Dayna has held positions as a Biologist and Project Manager at Dillon Consulting Limited since 2016, where they have gained in-depth knowledge of terrestrial environmental systems and legislation/policies. At EcoTec Environmental Consultants Inc., Dayna worked as an Ecologist from 2015 to 2016, conducting comprehensive environmental investigations and applying relevant legislation and guidelines. Prior to that, they were a Program Coordinator for Long Point Bird Observatory at Bird Studies Canada from 2012 to 2014, where they acquired advanced skills in bird identification and supervised staff and volunteers. As a Terrestrial Biologist at SWCA Environmental Consultants in 2009, Dayna performed nest searches and monitored breeding behavior. Additionally, they have experience as a Protected Area Assistant at various organizations, including Big Creek National Wildlife Area in 2008 and Canadian Wildlife Service in 2007.

Dayna LeClair completed their education journey with a Master's Degree in Integrative Biology from the University of Guelph in the years 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from Trent University between 2008 and 2010. Dayna initially embarked on their educational path by obtaining a Diploma in Fish and Wildlife Technologist from Sir Sandford Flemming College from 2005 to 2008.
