Brian Teplitz

Brian Teplitz has extensive work experience in the banking industry, spanning over three decades. Brian currently serves as the Chief Credit Officer of Dime Community Bank since September 2020. In this role, they oversee a $13 billion asset community bank, managing approximately $11 million in loans. Brian also chairs the Management Credit Committee and holds management positions in various board committees. Notably, they approve credit for large relationships.

Prior to their current role, Brian worked as a Senior Credit Officer and Senior Vice President at Bank United from May 2017 to September 2020. Before that, they were a Credit Officer at Capital One from May 2004 to September 2020.

From 2000 to 2003, Brian worked as a Credit Director and Eastern Division Risk Manager at Citigroup, responsible for managing credit approval, underwriting, portfolio performance, operational control, and MIS production for the company's small and middle market lending businesses.

Brian also worked as a Vice President/Audit Program Director at Citigroup from 1998 to 2000, overseeing audit and control activities in the consumer asset division.

Before their tenure at Citigroup, Brian held various positions at Citi from 1982 to 1998, including Director of NYC Credit Center, Vice President/Business Risk Reviewer, Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager, and AVP/Manager of Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting.

Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in credit management, and a track record of successfully managing large portfolios and driving business growth.

Brian Teplitz completed their education in a chronological order. Brian first attended Xaverian High School from 1972 to 1976, where they completed their high school education with a focus on general studies. Following this, they attended Stony Brook University from 1976 to 1980 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government. Continuing their education, they then attended Purdue University from 1980 to 1982, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Finance.
