Andy Smith has a solid work experience spanning over decades. Andy started their career in 1990 as an Analyst for the US Government, where they worked until 1994. In 1999, they moved on to Partnerware as a Project Manager, successfully implementing relationship management software for clients and growing the business analyst team. From 2001 to 2002, Andy worked as a Project Manager at Callidus Software. In 2003, they joined National Instruments as a Business Systems Manager, leading teams responsible for CRM, data warehouse/BI, and web content management systems. After four years, Andy transitioned to Dimensional Fund Advisors, where they held several roles including PMO Project Manager, Vice President of Portfolio Management, Business Process Officer, and currently serves as Vice President of Research since 2020.
Andy Smith attended Baylor University from 1986 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics. Later, they pursued their Master of Arts (MA) in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin, completing it from 1990 to 1995. Additionally, they obtained a Series 7 certification from FINRA in 2021.
