Lisa Bortz, SHRM-SCP, has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Lisa started their career at Dell in 1997, where they held progressive HR roles and worked closely with various business functions. During their time at Dell, Lisa led talent development, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development processes. Lisa also worked as a strategic business partner with executives in Engineering, IT, and Services organizations.
In 2005, Lisa joined AMD as a Manager of Human Resources. In this role, they supported product development and engineering functions and implemented HR processes for performance management, compensation, talent management, and change management. Lisa was recognized for building strong relationships across all organization levels.
Lisa continued their career at AMD and took on the role of Sr. Manager of Human Resources. Lisa became the Program Manager for the company's first formalized, comprehensive talent management process and managed a team of HR Business Partners. Lisa integrated a corporate competency model into the talent management process and proactively identified and solved issues aligned with strategic goals.
In 2012, Lisa joined ZT Systems as the Vice President of Human Resources. In this position, they focused on aligning business priorities with talent capability to drive operational results. Lisa acted as a trusted advisor to implement process improvements, recruit key talent, and improve organization capability, ultimately impacting profits.
Most recently, Lisa is serving as the Vice President, HR Business Partner at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a position they have held since 2015.
Lisa Bortz, SHRM-SCP, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Health Services Administration from Auburn University. Lisa obtained their SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in March 2015.
