Birk Brauer

Birk Brauer has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Birk started their career as a Front-End-Entwickler at Fraunhofer FOKUS in 2010 and then moved on to work as a Web Developer and Teaching Assistant at Berlin Professional School - HWR Berlin. During this time, they gained expertise in Java, HTML, and JavaScript.

In 2012, Birk joined erasys GmbH as a Software Engineer before transitioning to einfach Leben retten in 2011, where they worked as a Web-Entwickler. At einfach Leben retten, they single-handedly planned, designed, and implemented a custom CRM system using Apache, PHP, and MySQL.

In 2013, Birk joined ETC-Gauff Solutions GmbH as an Information Technology Engineer, focusing on software development for public transport projects. Birk worked on all stages of the projects, from conception to implementation, using technologies such as Java, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Birk then joined PROCAM Steuerungstechnik GmbH in 2017 as a Full-Stack JavaScript Developer. Birk was tasked with building a web team and developing a responsive progressive web app for managing and controlling industrial automated production lines.

In 2019, Birk worked at foo - financial engineering as a Frontend Architect. Their main responsibility was to rebuild a white-label portal website using Angular, TypeScript, SASS, REST, and PHP. Birk successfully balanced the needs of multiple stakeholders and modernized the website.

In 2020, Birk joined Pinuts media+science GmbH as a Lead Developer, where they contributed their expertise until 2021.

Currently, Birk is working at DIPKO GmbH. Birk first joined as a Technical Lead in 2021 and then transitioned to the role of Head of Engineering in 2022.

Birk Brauer completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Informatics in Public Administration at the Berlin Professional School - HWR Berlin from 2009 to 2013.
