Edward Diprete

Edward DiPrete has extensive experience in public service and real estate. Since March 2000, Edward has served as a real estate assistant at DiPrete Engineering Associates. Prior to that, Edward was the Governor of the State of Rhode Island from 1985 to 1991 and the Mayor of the City of Cranston, RI from January 1979 to January 1985. Edward co-owned F. A. DiPrete Realty and Insurance from January 1959 to January 1979, managing a real estate and general insurance agency. Edward's military service includes serving as a Lt. Commander in the US Navy from September 1955 to January 1959, overseeing supply operations on two ships and managing financial accountability. Edward holds a BS degree in Economics and Philosophy with a focus on Marketing from the College of the Holy Cross, where studies were completed between 1951 and 1955.
