Mike O'Malley

Mike O'Malley's work experience includes holding various leadership positions in government relations, public relations, and human resources. Mike currently works as the Senior Vice President for Government and Public Relations at Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI) since 2020. Previously, they served as the President of Railway Supply Institute (RSI) from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they worked for CSX from 2007 to 2017, holding roles such as Vice President of Procurement & Supply Chain Management and Vice President of State Government & Community Affairs. Mike also had experience in the public sector, serving as the Chief of Staff for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the U.S. Department of Transportation from 2006 to 2007 and as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy/Counselor to the Under Secretary for Policy from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they worked as a Government Relations Advisor at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman from 2000 to 2002, as a Senior Associate at International Trade Services Corporation from 1999 to 2000, and as the Legislative Assistant to the Governor at the State of Illinois from 1998 to 1999. Mike started their career in 1996 as an Associate Business Development Officer at Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada, where they promoted cross-border strategic alliances between U.S. and Canadian companies. Mike also served as a Graduate Resident at The Institute for Study Abroad, Butler University from 1994 to 1995.

Mike O'Malley's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, which they completed from 2010 to 2011. Mike also holds a Master of Science in European Studies from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which they earned between 1994 and 1995. Mike obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Additionally, they completed the CSX Executive Development Program in 2016 at the Harvard Business School Executive Education.
