Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for planning a route and traveling to the inspection sites. Inspecting the construction of new equipment and cable as a whole. Take photos of the equipment to document the condition. Note damage or other issues with the equipment. Take notes about the condition of equipment and related assets. Coordinate with the construction teams to track progress of jobs. Communicate with engineering staff for status on completed work. Willingness to learn basics of telecom and GIS to be an adequate inspector of the project. Perform data entry tasks as needed. Complete inspection forms via Field Maps. Working within established policies and procedures.

SCHEDULE & QUALIFICATION EXPECTATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent, higher technical education preferred

  • Maintain confidentiality guidelines in accordance with company policy

  • Basic proficiencies with phone/computer/tablet

  • Able to work independently under minimal supervision

  • Standard Driver’s License required

  • Has and can maintain good driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS HIGHLIGHTS (not an all inclusive list):

  • Climbing ladders
  • Lifting and carrying 35-50 lbs frequently, 50+ lbs occasionally
  • Working outdoor in all weather conditions
  • Walking over uneven surfaces
  • Kneeling, stooping, bending, crawling, twisting
  • Reaching forward, grasping, push/pull, wrist twisting
  • Using computer, laptop, tablet and/or cell phone
  • Neck motion (L/R and Up/Down)
