Brandy Hill is currently the Operations & HR Manager at Direct Source. Brandy has previous experience as a Human Resources Representative at Maple Grove Hospital from September 2009 to September 2013. At Maple Grove, they played an instrumental role in opening Minnesota’s first new hospital in over ten years. This was done by authoring job descriptions, preparing compensation studies to establish pay practices, and assisting with the development and administration of HR related policies, programs, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the Hospital.
During their time at Maple Grove, they also fostered an environment conducive to positive employee relations. Her personal efforts were identified as one of the driving forces behind positive employee morale, resulting in the Hospital’s nomination and receipt of the Star Tribune’s Top 100 Places to Work Award in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In addition, they developed the hospital-wide HIPAA training program, bringing awareness to responsibilities for protecting patient privacy.
As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, they were responsible for conducting mock surveys in ancillary and patient care areas in preparation for Joint Commission and DNV accreditation surveys. Brandy also created a drug diversion prevention program including awareness, training, monitoring, and fact-finding investigations focused on connecting employees with resources and returning to the work environment.
Lastly, they developed, implemented and managed the Volunteer Services Department consisting of a Volunteer Services Coordinator and over 300 volunteers. This resulted in the hospital becoming the first hospital/health care entity to be certified as a Service Enterprise through Point of Light.
Brandy Hill has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership from Rasmussen University, where they graduated summa cum laude. Brandy also has an HR Studies Certificate from Cornell University. Brandy Hill is certified by HRCI as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and by SHRM as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
