Amir Shams

Amir Shams is the head of Asia BD at DirectFN. Amir has previously worked as the regional head channel & operator business head for Microsoft and Ingram Micro.

Amir has successfully built a $3.5 million pipeline from scratch in 90 days by focusing on new products and cost improvement strategies. Amir has also developed sales and marketing strategies to roll out new services and solutions within the EMEA region.

In addition, they have conducted a minimum of 6-7 monthly live web based sales trainings, 4-5 face to face sales meetings, and “lunch and learn” sessions each month. Amir has also individually developed relationships with 20+ potential new agents including VARs, IT Vendors, and System Integrators.

Amir has received the global award "Sales & Marketing Excellence Award 2011" for best strategic initiative with business partners. Amir has also received the performance award of "Shining Star in IMEA for Q1'12"in Nokia.

Amir Shams has a bachelors in commerce from Karachi University, a masters in information technology from Preston University, and a DCS from Petromen Training Institute. Amir also has a matriculation in science from Little Folk's Secondry School. Amir has a certification from Singapore Management University in Executive Fintech Data & Innovation and from Cisco in CCNA. Amir also has a certification from Microsoft in MCSE.

They are on a team with Mohammed Makari - FinTech Expert, Imran Maniar - Head of GCC & Africa BD, and Ruwan Aluthgedara - CTO. Their manager is Abdullah Suweilmy, Chairman.
